Centennial Park Hijinks

We all had fun at Centennial Park yesterday!

Mommy, daddy, Molly, and Auntie all went with me to this culture festival there.

There was a little parade to start things off.

We saw two dogs that looked a little like Harley's relatives; they were Irish Deerhounds!

Then we sat and ate some snacks with our friend Miss Amanda and her dogs Chester and Toby!

They are so cute!

Chester even met a 9 month old Great Dane puppy named Fenway!

I wonder if Molly will be that big when she gets to be nine months old?

Finally, I got to play with the May Pole.

It was a great day!

Yes, it's true, my little sister spent the night in her own room last night, and not with mommy and daddy!

She did pretty good, until 4:30, I hear, when mommy got up to feed her.

The weather has been nice this week, but last week it rained every day.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted any pictures! Well, I just went on vacation, and let me tell you, it was fun!

We went to a parade...

I hung out with my baby sister Molly...

Played at a pirate playground (Arrrgh!)...

Sat in a small pool...

Jumped in a big pool...

Hung out with Molly some more...

(she really liked riding in the van...)

Saw some boats on Balboa Island...

Went ON a boat at Balboa Island...

Ate ice cream near a ferris wheel...

Played in the sand at the beach...

Posed with mommy...

Listened to Molly's piano lessons...

And of course, slept in my Auntie's bed!....

Overall, it was a great time in and around Arcadia!!!

PS. Daddy was here on vacation too, and had a great time also!

Birthday Party Day!!!

Even though my birthday is not until next week, today, we celebrated my birthday at Pump It Up.

I did not have a good time. Okay, just kidding, it was awesome!

There were games...

And props...

And balls to throw...

And soft things to fall on...

And the jumping!

Oh the jumping!

Climbing was involved, of course...

But only as a means to more jumping!

But the best part of all was being with some of my friends!

Oh yeah, Molly came too...but she was pretty tired from watching us jump.

Afterwards it was time for some juice...

Then, everyone sang me the HappyBirthday song!

And some stranger cut my cake to "share" it...

But I was happy to share it...because my friends and I really enjoyed it!

Then I got to sit in a really big chair with my friends...

My friends even sat on ME sitting on the big chair.

All in all it was a really fun time!

I have a feeling three will be the best year yet!

This morning, a big surprise was waiting for me and my baby sister at the bottom of the steps!

I went downstairs and found...

Easter baskets!

Plus, there were eggs "hidden"around the living room and dining room!

Even Harley thought it was a blast to find them!

I put all my eggs in one basket.

I still don't get that expression, not putting your eggs in one basket. Why not? It makes perfect sense to me!

I also got a bunny rabbit!

Molly got a bunny blanket.

After church, we took some pictures...

Even Kaki got in on the action.

All in all it has been a great Easter!

Well, it has been a great Easter so far! Today, I went to an Easter egg hunt!

After waiting around for what seems like forever (daddy says it was maybe 10 minutes), we all lined up...

And when they counted down to 0, we were off!

I strategically started at the end with less kids...

So I was able to get in the lead first...

And I even found the magic egg with a Target gift card!

Afterwards, I saw the Easter Bunny!

(Which went a lot better than last year!

)

Anyway, after eating my candy, it was back to messing with my little sister...

She didn't seem to mind, though!

What a busy day I've had!

I started by taking another good, hard look at my baby sister...

and I still think she is pretty cute!

Then I went to ballet class, where we had a special Easter Bonnet Parade!

I even got to blow my daddy a kiss!

and do some special moves that I don't even know the names of...

The other girls and I had a great time!

and then, while my baby sister went to the doctor and got a GREAT report, my friends Carolyn, Bailey, and Crosby came over to play for a bit!

Well, since I think she is so cute, here are a couple more pictures of my baby sister!

It's true! My little sister is here! She is really really great.

To get me ready, my mommy and daddy got me my very own doll to take care of.

Then they woke up really early on April 14th to go the hospital!

Then, all of a sudden, she was here! She was born at 7:21 AM and weighed 8 lbs and 11 oz and was 20 and 3/4 inches long!

She has really big cheeks, and I think she's really really cute!

I got to hold her ....

..and kiss her just a little while after she was born...

I'm pretty sure my grandparents and auntie love her a lot too.

I'll be sure to post more soon...for now, know that I love her and think she is really cute!

Well, I didn't have it this week, but I have been going to swimming class for the past few weeks!

My daddy helped my with the lessons...

Part of the assignment was to jump in from the side, which I was quite good at.

I Know, I Know...

I know. We've been absent for a while. Trust me, I have heard about it from many of you. Mommy and Daddy are still taking pictures, but the computer that uses them is not working... there will be lots to see when it finally starts working again. In addition, I keep them sooooooo busy that it's hard to find time to update. Just know that I am having a great time doing all that I do... I am talking a lot more and enjoying life!!

I had a great Halloween!

It started way before Sunday. First I got dressed up as a peacock. Never mind that I'm a male peacock, that's not the point.

I went to daddy's office on Friday and got candy.

Then, I ate candy and slept. Then, it was time for the Farmer's Market. I looked good, as usual...

Then, I spent the afternoon resting, because the next day would be Halloween! Sure enough, it was a pretty fun day. I had heard about it, and mommy and daddy say that I've dressed up before, but I don't remember it. This year, I'll remember for sure...it was awesome!

All I had to do was walk up, say "Trick or Treat" (but I usually said, "I a peacock"), and then I got to pick up a piece of candy (or alternatively place a piece of my candy in their candy bowl, which I did a little less than half the time).

All in all, I think I like Halloween...I wonder what I'll be next year?

That's right folks, you heard it here. I have been to Arizona! And though it was hot, I had a great time!

I saw the desert...

Explored an arboretum...

Got up close to some butterflies with GP...

Went to Tombstone...

Acted super serious...

And super silly...

And even though there aren't pictures of me swimming, I did do lots of swimming! There were at least 5 pools there. This one was right by our house that we stayed in!

Overall it was a great week with Annie, GP, Khaki, Mommy, and Daddy!

We just got back from a week in Rhode Island which was so much fun. We got to see old friends and lots of people we have not seen in over a year. We spent a week at the beach which was so much fun. I wasn't totally sold on the waves unless Mommy and Daddy were both there with me, but I LOVED the sand. LOVED IT. Daddy and I dug numerous holes and built sandcastles. I can't wait to get back to the beach.

Have I ever mentioned what a lucky girl I am?? For every birthday I have had, all four of my grandparents and my aunt have been there, and this year was no exception. We had a great celebration (it was my grandma DiDi's birthday as well as Mommy's)! I got lots of great presents: a slide, a kitchen, a car, and a tower to use at the kitchen counters. I told you I was the luckiest girl around!!

My family also had a party for me. We had cake, decorated cookies, and played with my new toys. Thanks to everyone for all the presents and good wishes sent from near and far!!

I had a lot of fun this afternoon with Mommy and Daddy and Harley. We were in the yard all afternoon and planted flowers... I helped a bit, but mostly dug in the dirt and sprayed the hose. I played with my water table which quickly turned to a mud table this afternoon, sat at my new picnic table, and had a great time. I was soaked, filthy, and exhausted but loved it!!

Mommy and Daddy assure me that this is a momentous video. I think it is kinda dull. What about the ones where I am dancing or jumping or laughing or playing?

Anyway, they say it is important because it is:

- my first time leaving the hospital

- my first time to see the sun

- my first time to ride in a car

- a reminder of mommy's old car

I guess that car is gone now to someone else, who might drive their baby home in it someday. So long, Honda!

PS. I like the new car a lot better, but don't tell mommy!

Last weekend we went to see Gran and Grandpa. It snowed and was really cold, so we stayed inside and played. I read books, practiced my gymnastics, and ate lots of yummy food.

This weekend was very snowy here and everything was cancelled. That meant that we all hung out inside. Look how relaxed I was, giving Mommy and Daddy a chance to relax, too. Ha!!! Truth be told, I was only on the couch long enough for Daddy to take this picture, then I was back to running around.

Last week I went to my very first gymnastics class. It was a lot of fun, I ran and jumped for an hour and took a VERY long nap that afternoon! (Mommy was tired, too, as she had to do most things with me and then chase me around, too).

I know, I know, it's been a long time since there was a blog post. I'm just so busy these days!! As you have seen, I had a wonderful Christmas. It was so great to have my aunt and all my grandparents here... we had so much fun!!

After Christmas Mommy and Daddy and I went to California! I got to go to my very first Tournament of Roses Parade. No one was sure how long I would last before I got bored at the parade, but I surprised them by loving every second of it!! I clapped with the horses, danced with the bands, and LOVED seeing all the sights! (If you watched the parade you might remember the snowboarding bulldogs. They were my absolute favorite!!) Can't wait to go back for another parade!!

18 Month Check Up

I went to my 18 month old check up today at the doctor. I only had to get one shot (yay!) and handled it like a pro.

I weigh 27lbs, 5 oz (75-90%ile)

I am 33 inches tall (90%ile)

And, I don't have to go back to the doctor for 6 months!!

I had a lot of fun on the stairs this morning. Luckily, daddy was there to capture some of it on film. One of the pictures was so good, that it is the new one for the blog at the top. I hope you like it!

I went to visit Santa yesterday. He was very nice and I liked him a lot, but as soon as Mommy tried to leave me alone with him, I did not like Santa as much anymore...

So, I had my picture taken with Santa, but so did Mommy. :-)

18 Months Old

I am 18 months old today! Can you believe it? I don't go to the doctor until next week (thank goodness!) so I don't have any "stats" for you yet, but I just wanted to thank everyone for reading about my life for the past year and a half. There is LOTS more to come!!!

A Fun Thanksgiving

Hi everybody! We have been very busy around here trying to get ready for Christmas. We did, however, have a great Thanksgiving and wanted to share a few pictures of our weekend in Chattanooga. I had a great time playing with all of Daddy's toys from when he was little.

I've been very busy the past few weeks, so I have not had much time to blog. Rest assured, I am doing well, moving around more than ever, and having a great time being a toddler! As you can tell, some of my favorite past times include reading books in my room and hanging out with Harley!!

I know my pajamas say that "everyone is thankful for me" but I want everyone to know how thankful I am for all of you!! Mom and Dad say they are thankful for everyone, too. Thanks for being such great family and friends!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

A Busy November

I know it's been a while since you have seen an update from me, but I am just sooo busy!! Mommy and I have been very busy at playdates, my music class, library storytime, etc. We also had a fun visit from my grandparents last weekend. We got to take them to the zoo and I loved showing them around.

I had a great Halloween!! On Friday I got to trick-or-treat at Daddy's office which was really fun! On Saturday we went to Pumpkin Fest in Franklin and then came home to get ready to trick-or-treat. I didn't really do much trick-or-treating, but I went to two fun parties thrown by neighbors. These pictures show what I looked like in my fairy princess costume. Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, too!

The computer (the one with all the pictures on it!) is back up and running, so you get to see me again. Mommy and Daddy have been trying to get pictures of me, but it's hard, as I really don't stay still for very long.
