Big Girl Car Seat

Guess what? I got a new car seat!! I was too big for my infant carrier, so now I have a "big girl" car seat and I love it. It makes it a lot easier to sit up and look at everything going on around me.

And, of course, just like everything else I am near, I like to chew on it!

Mommy could not get a picture of it, as I woke up when she reached to get the camera, but I actually fell asleep inside this contraption-- my bouncer-- yesterday! Since I'm not too keen on naps anymore, I guess I sort of rocked/bounced myself to sleep while playing... I just put my head down on my arms and took a little snooze!

Yummy Toys

As you can see, I love all my toys, but I really just like anything that fits in my mouth! Those teeth just keep comin' and I need something to chew on!

New Mode of Transportation

Mommy and I got Daddy this cool backpack for Christmas... It holds lots of stuff, but the best part is, it holds ME, too!

Here are some of my new tricks. I can't crawl, but I can get myself where I want to be.

Daddy really likes popcorn. He tells me that someday I'll be able to share it with him, but not yet. For now, I get to eat my new snack-- sweet corn puffs! Now Daddy and I can watch movies together and both eat goodies (I am getting quite good at grabbing my puffs, holding them in my thumb and finger, and putting them in my own mouth to eat!).

Now that I am getting more teeth and starting to feed myself, I have been enjoying a teething biscuit every once in a while. Here I am enjoying one...

A More Mobile Abby

Now that I am 7 months old, I'm gaining mobility. Last night I was hanging out with Mommy in the kitchen in my pink chair. I managed to get myself out of the blanket in which I was swaddled and work my way out of the chair. This is a fun game-- I bounce on my legs while the top half of my body is in the chair!

I have also gotten good at rolling around on the floor. You can see my mat in the background that I play on and which is safe for me to roll around on. While Mommy went to get something in the kitchen earlier today, this is what she returned to. I was quite proud of myself for being able to roll my way under the couch!

Mommy and Daddy are working on getting the pictures from the new camera on to the computer. Here's a shot of me playing with my toys while you wait...

7 Months Old

I just turned 7 months old! Sorry for the lack of new pictures and posts, Mommy said something about me being such a busy girl that it's not as easy to update my blog as it used to be! I think she's right-- I am just very, very busy lately. I love all of my toys I got for Christmas and always want to play (sometimes at the expense of my naps!!).

Here's a quick look at me this month:
- I can now sit up by myself and will do so in order to play with toys
- I can now roll both ways (sometimes!)
- I have three teeth
- I like almost all food you give me (the baby food mac and cheese seems to be my favorite)
- I love to laugh at lots of things, but mostly Daddy or Harley
- I'm 7 months old but wear 9-12 month sized clothes!
- I am not as interested in sleeping as I once was (but Mommy and Daddy say they still like to sleep...something doesn't match up here)

All in all, I'm a happy kid and I am having a great time!

A quick update... last night Daddy realized that I have a THIRD tooth!! It's on the left side on the bottom... now I have three in a row!! I'm hoping I'll start to feel a little better now that another tooth has broken through, but at this rate, who knows how many more are on the horizon?

However, with all these teeth come a few perks... I got to eat something called macaroni and cheese!! (Not the "real" kind, but the baby food kind.) I LOVE IT!! I guess this is no surprise with my carb-loving parents!!

Off to go eat something else!!

A New Year

So far, 2009 has been great. I have spent a great deal of time in my jumper, one of my Christmas presents. It has provided endless entertainment for me, as well as the people who get to watch me jump and laugh. Clearly, Harley enjoys it, too.
