A Busy Day

I have had a very busy day. This morning, Mom gave me a bath, and then dressed me in my robe, as she said she didn't want me to mess up my costume before we went out!

Next, Mom dressed me in my costume... I was dressed as a cow!! Dad said that was a good costume for me because I like milk so much!! Mom and I went to the hospital to visit Dad at work where lots of nice people told me how cute I was.

Tonight, I helped Mom and Dad and our neighbors hand out candy to lots of other kids dressed up in costumes. I didn't see any other cows, but saw lots of princesses and superheroes! It was kind of chilly outside, but I got bundled up and we sat outside on the porch with friends (and even Harley!) for a while.

After a while, I fell asleep. I had a great first Halloween!! I wonder what I'll be next year...

Good Night!

Funny Harley

Okay, I promised a video of me laughing at Harley. It's hard for Mom and Dad to get one, really, because they have to chase after Harley and hold me... doing that with the video camera is hard. But, here is their best effort:

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! No, this is not my Halloween costume... it's just what Mom had me wear yesterday when we went out because it was so cold! So, in preparation for today I was a pink bear all day yesterday. I'll post pictures later of my Halloween costume!

Hope everyone has a great day-- lots of treats and no tricks!!

Food Update

I've been very busy lately, so sorry for the lack of posts. I had a great time visiting with my CA grandparents and look forward to all my family coming to see me again soon!

I wanted to update everyone on my progress with solid food. (I don't know why they call it solid, it's all mush, but whatever...) Since I last updated you I have tried peas, applesauce, and sweet potatoes!

Here's the updated list and how I would grade them:

Rice cereal: B
Bananas: A
Peas: B+
Applesauce: A+ (this is my favorite!!!)
Sweet potatoes: A-

I Can Laugh

Mom and Dad just realized the other day that I can laugh! I still only laugh every once in a while, and my mom worked pretty hard behind the camera to get me to laugh in this video. The thing I laugh at most is my dog, Harley, so hopefully I will have a video of that soon, too! For now, enjoy me chuckling at my mom's dancing!!

Nap Time

Sometimes I like to nap in my chair with a toy or a doll. Yesterday, I wanted to have all three toys with me... I would not let anyone take any of them out!! Here's the result!

An Early Start...

Last week we went to visit Daddy at work. While we were there, he showed me a few things in the New England Journal of Medicine. Look how interested I am... Mommy says she does not understand those big words, but I didn't seem to have much trouble!

Fall Fun

Today I went with Mom and Dad to enjoy some of the fun fall things that Rhode Island has to offer. I got dressed in my very warm "bear" suit and we headed out to a farm!

While at the farm we got to go apple picking... Mom and Dad said something about me trying applesauce as my next food so I would know what the apples were like... Here is a picture of Dad and me standing among the apple trees...

After we picked apples we walked a little further and found a good pumpkin to take home with us! Here we are in the pumpkin patch.

I had a great day and enjoyed the fall weather. Maybe I'll try applesauce later to go along with the theme!!

As we were leaving and Dad was getting ready to pay, Mom and Dad started laughing pretty hard. They took this picture of me... when Dad got out his wallet I grabbed it from his hands. They said something about this being a sign of things to come???

Happy Fall!!

Bananas!

After four days of rice cereal (which I think I am starting to like), I got to try BANANAS last night. I loved them!! I'm also working on keeping some of the food in my mouth, unlike the picture above!

My opinion of the food so far:
Rice Cereal: B
Bananas: A

First Bowl of Cereal

When I went to the doctor last week he said that I could try to eat cereal when I wanted to. Mom and Dad thought this was a great idea, as I sometimes cast longing glances at their food and I am always hungry!! Below are two videos of me trying rice cereal for the first time. I'm not sure I love it, but I'll keep trying!

My TN party!

Hi there!

Well, I wanted to tell you a little about my party in Tennessee last week, and finally got some pics to go along with the recounting. Even though I was pretty clean, everyone said I needed a bath first.

Then we got to go to the party! It was fun, because lots of nice people I'd never met before came...all just to say hi to me! Mommy laughed at lots of things....

...and I met people that knew my daddy when he was a baby like me...

...and I met my great aunt and uncle!

The food was good, but the best part was the music....

All it all, we had a great time! Before we left, I even got to put my pajamas on...

What a lucky girl I am, to have had parties thrown for me in Tennessee AND in California! And that's all in four months! Who knows what will happen when I turn one?!?!

Four Months Old

I'm four months old today!! I just got back from the doctor, and I am growing!

Weight: 15 lbs, 14 ounces
Length: 25 1/2 inches

(90th percentile for both!)

I got three more shots, but handled them like a champ!

Playing the Piano

While I was in Tennessee I got to play the piano for the very first time. I had a few lessons when I was in California, as my GP is very excited for me to play the piano... watch this video to see what I learned!!!

My Friend Marge

Marge the Seahorse was one of my very first friends.

She was such a good friend, she didn't even mind when I would chew on her nose!

When I was a little baby, I took her everywhere with me and her music always calmed me down.

Well, yesterday when my mom and auntie were in Target, I was being a little bit fussy (hey, it happens!) and they found Marge's cousin. When Marge's cousin sat in my car seat with me...I fell asleep right away! It was like magic!

Thanks, Marge!

Watch Me Smile!

Here is a quick video of me smiling... my mom was dancing and doing silly things behind the camera to make me laugh! If you saw her dancing, you'd be laughing too!

Back From Tennessee!

Hi everyone!

I am back from my first trip to TN. I had a great time-- I got to spend time with my grandparents, attended a very nice party in my honor, went with my mom and dad to look at houses in Nashville where they tell me we are moving next summer.

It was a long road trip, but I did a great job. I sat in the back with Harley, though sometimes Harley would switch places with Mom or Dad who would come back and entertain me. Here is a picture of Harley and me in the backseat.

I also walked around Vanderbilt University with my mom and dad. They were telling me all about the different places on campus. It was an exciting time there, as it was a few days before Vandy beat Auburn!! From what I can gather, this is exciting news for Commodore fans! Here is a picture of the three of us on the front steps of Kirkland Hall.

I had a great trip! Thanks to my grandparents and all my new friends for a wonderful week!! See you soon!
